Tollywood director Vijay Kumar Konda has turned a year older today on October 21 and wishes have been pouring in from across the country. Hallmarks of Vijay Kumar’s films include unexpected plot twists, realistic treatment of love stories and camera shots taken at unique angles in each film. He is considered one of Tollywood’s most successful filmmakers, both commercially and critically. On the director's birthday, here's looking at four of his most well-known films one must watch:

Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde

Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde tells the story of a techie Karthik who is smitten by a woman and gets her number and begins to talk to her but realises that he has been talking to someone else, who has fallen for him. When the second woman learns the truth, she decides to take revenge against him. The Vijay Kumar Konda directed-film starred Nithiin, Nithya Menen and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. The 2013 romantic drama film received immense acclaim from cine-goers and critics.

She is not able to refuse her father and agrees while Karthik tries to win her over. Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde essayed the main characters in the film. Directed by Vijay Kumar, the romantic entertainer garnered stupendous success at the box office.

Raj Tarun-Vijay Kumar Konda upcoming film

Vijay Kumar Konda and Raj Tarun have come together again for a film which was launched recently in Hyderabad. The makers reveal that it is a romantic thriller and that shooting will start soon. Mahidar and Devesh are making his debut as producers with this film. The rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon. Anup Rubens has been roped in to compose music for this flick, which will be bankrolled by Vanamalee Creations Pvt Ltd.
