Good enough for Van Halen 2012 tour. Not what I would consider HiFi these days. Has it been re-capped ? Empee

Joined 2006 Hi! M900 is the install version of the V800, wich indeed, Eddy van Halen used as his guitaramp. Of coarse with some tone-shaping devices in front. The M900 is a beast. Very powerfull yet crisp & clean. Loads of headroom. It's based on The sk135/sj50 mosfet combo. I would certainly call it hifi, even by today's standards. But only if you could live with a cooling fan. Cheers, Empee JonSnell Electronic

Joined 2012 jonsnell.co.uk The cooling fan, if correctly wired, comes on only when the temperature rises above 40 degrees C on the heatsinks. Not a bad old school amplifier. I have repaired many over the years. The predecessor was the Harrison 1000, what a beast! Status Not open for further replies.
