Hand-Held terminals are commonly used on container terminals at various locations and processes, such as the tally man at the waterside to register load and discharge, the gate checker clerk to perform the p-check at the gate, for the reefer electrician to record reefer checks or plug actions and, last but not least, in the yard to either correct the inventory or do container data checks. Usually these HHT run an application of the terminal operating system and are directly integrated with the TOS, as it is done in the RBS TOPS system.
