#1 · Jul 31, 2018 A friend brought an M13 to the range many years ago, and when I tried it I was very impressed with the accuracy for a compact gun, and the whole package in general. So when these two guns showed up at an auction back in 2014, I had a hard time choosing, then decided to try and get both, since they’re not made anymore and can be hard to find, seems like owners hang on to them. They were both abt $ 1500 apiece. The M13 was LNIB with most accessories, but only one mag (I guess it originally came with two. It was made in 1998.

Because of the complete package and it’s condition, I don’t shoot it much, probably had 50 rounds through it. I would happily carry it though (if I could carry). The M8 came without box or papers, just the gun and two mags. It’s the one I shoot regularly. The slim grip with single stack magazine helps, as the cocking lever makes the grip quite long across. It was made in 1986.
And it’s accurate. 25 meters off hand
The only two other pistols I manage 50 points on this target are my old Swiss service pistols. Can’t do it with the FN HP, CZ 75, G17 or Beretta 92 (the military range only allows 9 mm and smaller).
A period ad. Someone said advertising it as the most expensive handgun in the world was not a good idea.
#3 · Jul 31, 2018 That's a really nice package, box and everything. Thank you for sharing. #4 · Jul 31, 2018 I really like the P7 line. They were a cult gun at a club to which I used to belong. At one time, the club had a picture on their website with 12 or 16 shooters all posing with P7s, and I know that wasn't everyone, as I wasn't in it. I have 2 or 3 M8s & an M13, but none as collectible as the ones pictured here. I've seen 10s of thousands of rounds fired through P7s at action pistol matches; I've seen exactly one malfunction, and it was due to a reloaded round that had the case lip folded backwards because the bullet wasn't seated squarely within the case mouth. The only caveat I'd offer is that they get very hot with sustained fire. Not a problem for carry, or even for a match, but if you try to use one at the Rogers School, it'll get uncomfortably hot. #5 · Jul 31, 2018 Beautiful P7’s, thanks for the pictures. I am a huge fan of them, but only own one M13 at this moment. And I really don’t own it I guess. My wife shot it on a range day some 20 years or so ago and asked me on the spot if she could immediately make it her gun. It has been her daily carry gun since. I would love to get another and aways have my eye out, but not been able to find one local yet. Congratulations on getting a good deal on some fine pistols! #6 · Jul 31, 2018 P7M8 was my first pistol. Ran well but broke a couple of parts around 7-8000 rounds. I sold it after some 10000 rounds when it stopped supporting my newly developed needs and preferences, but it is a unique engineering piece for sure. #7 · Jul 31, 2018 Very nice guns. Your M13 is in fantastic condition. It’s not outrageous to say you’ve about doubled your investment with that pistol. My medium sized hands prefer the M8, and I (might) have a few... The design of this handgun is a mechanical firearm marvel. Like many things of it’s kind, high production cost led to the demise of this great handgun. Parts are out there, however, and a deserved cult-like following of owners will keep it around for years to come. #8 · Jul 31, 2018 I love mine, but I don't have an M13. If these weren't so rare I would have used one as a carry gun alternative since they shoot so well. #9 · Jul 31, 2018 Those are nice. I had a P7, then bought a new P7M8 back in the '80s. Mine is within a couple hundred serial numbers of yours. I think they might rightfully be considered the "Porsche of pistols", as Ken Hackathorn described them. Attachments
