The Thermo Scientific HM 450 Sliding Microtome includes automatic fine sectioning and trimming features with selectable specimen retraction. The integrated knife carrier design of the Thermo Scientific HM 450 Sliding Microtome ensures fast, comfortable and nontiring operation.

Features:

• Knife carrier glides along a maintenance-free precision cross-roller bearing system ensuring fast, comfortable, and nontiring operation
• Sections paraffin and frozen section in biological, botanical, and materials science applications
• Incorporates stepping motor technology to assure precise, accurate specimen advancement
• Trimming function allows for precision block trimming prior to the sectioning function
• Automatic or manual sectioning can be selected
• User-friendly control panel allows for programming of settings and sectioning parameters
• Important sectioning information including section counter, step sum, remaining travel and specimen position memory function are retained
• Retraction (may be turned off)
