HM06 (item)

Effects

HM06 teaches a special move to a compatible Pokémon. HM06 is:

• Whirlpool in Generation 2
• Rock Smash in Generations 3-4
• Dive in Generation 5
• Rock Smash in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Once learned, HM moves cannot be forgotten unless the Pokémon is taken to a Move Deleter located in each region.

Ruby​/​SapphireEmerald	A rock-crushingly tough attack that may lower DEFENSE.
FireRed​/​LeafGreen	An attack that may also cut DEFENSE. It can also smash cracked boulders.
Diamond​/​PearlPlatinumHeartGold​/​SoulSilver	The user slugs the foe with a shattering punch. It can also smash cracked boulders.
Black​/​WhiteBlack 2​/​White 2	Diving on the first turn, the user floats up and attacks on the second. It can be used for diving in the ocean.
X​/​YO.Ruby​/​A.Sapphire	Diving on the first turn, the user floats up and attacks on the next turn.
Sun​/​MoonUltra Sun​/​Ultra Moon	The user attacks with a punch. This may also lower the target’s Defense stat. This move can also shatter rocks in the field.
