₫22,000,000 Hồ Thị Thụy Như from Quảng Trị (working as a teacher in Nha Trang) appeared in Ai Là Triệu Phú on January 7, 2020, becoming the first contestant to be in the show's Hot Seat in 2020. She was the second person in Vietnam to answer the penultimate question incorrectly after nearly 13 years, lost ₫38,000,000 and won only ₫22,000,000. She was also the first contestant on the show to see the penultimate question after Lại Tuấn Dũng on October 11, 2011.

As this was a question about history while she was a literature teacher good at geography, she didn't know the answer to this question, so she asked for help from a history teacher who was working in the same school as her - Trần Lan Phương. Right off the bat, she immediately ignored option B and option D after a while. After a lengthy amount of time to think of an answer (edited out from the show), she was 80% sure the right answer was C. After yet another long time thinking (again, this was edited out from the show), she still believed that the correct answer could either be A or C. Eventually, she locked in the latter but unfortunately, B was the correct answer.

On November 7, 2017 she appeared on Fastest Finger First, but didn’t make it to the hot seat.
She was the 7th contestant in the history of the show to see the Penultimate Question and the 4th one to answer it. She was also the first and only contestant to see the Penultimate Question since Phan Đăng became the host.
There are 2 more situations for the Penultimate Question of her run:
If she had decided to walk away on the Penultimate Question, she would have won 60,000,000₫, becoming the first person to win this amount of money since the money tree changed in 2012. She would also hold the record for winning the most money on the show as a female contestant (beating Nguyễn Thu Trang, who won 40,000,000₫ in 2014).
If she had answered the Penultimate Question question correctly, she would have won 85,000,000₫, holding the record for winning the largest amount of money in the history of the show (also beating Nguyễn Lê Anh, Bùi Thị Hà Thanh and Đào Hồng Vũ, and Lê Văn Tuân in Hot Seat version) and having the chance to see the Top Prize Question.
She was the second contestant to answer the Penultimate Question incorrectly, and she is also holding the record for losing the second biggest amount of money in a single question in the show's history, after Trần Đặng Đăng Khoa a year later, who lost 63,000,000₫ due to become the first top prize loser in the history of Ai là Triệu Phú.
Probably because "being too excited to have such a brilliant player", the producer had used the question 10 and question 15's "Final answer" cue for all questions after the second milestone instead of normal "Final answer" cue.
