Hoang Phat Vissai Group completes Song Lam 2 project, Vietnam

Hoang Phat Vissai Group (The Vissai) on Tuesday hosted an opening ceremony to mark the launch for its Song Lam 2 cement plant in Vietnam's central province of Nghe An.With the operation of Song Lam 2 cement plant, The Vissai will supply an additional volume of 600,000t of PCB30 cement to the central region, the Cong Thuong online newspaper reported Tuesday.The Song Lam 2 cement plant, formerly known as PetroVietnam Cement 12/9 JSC, is situated in Anh Son district, Nghe An province.Construction of the plant was delayed due to shortage of capital and was transferred to The Vissai. In April, Vissai invested VND500bn to speed up construction of the plant afte completing the acquisition process.
