Honda CB400X Adventure Touring Motorcycle Launched In Japan

New bodywork for 2020 while the technical specifications remain the same as the previous model.

Honda unveiled the 2020 version of the CB400X model. It’s available on the Asian motorcycle market. The upgrades feature a new bodywork while the bike is still equipped with the 399cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine making 45hp and 38Nm of torque.

The 2020 Honda CB400X features a bodywork covered with red accents, camouflage patterns and a blacked-out theme. Other features like the full-LED headlights, adjustable windshield, 7-spoke wheels, suspension configuration and dash are the same as the previous model. Honda offers two colour schemes namely Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Pearl Glare White.

The entry-level adventure touring motorcycle comes with a dual exhaust system, slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS and 5-step adjustable front brake lever. Unloaded, the bike’s ground clearance sits at 150mm while seat height is set at 800mm.

Engine-wise, the 2020 Honda CB400X is fitted with the 399cc liquid-cooled DOHC twin-cylinder engine as its predecessor equipped with the brand’s PGM-Fi technology. The power figures sit at 45hp @ 9,000rpm and 38Nm @ 7,500rpm.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced that the model will remain available on the Asian motorcycle market. Other models will follow like the CMX500 Rebel cruiser, CB500F naked-sports, CB500R sports model and CB500X dual-sport.

There’s an alternative for this model on other motorcycle markets like the Honda CB500X model which comes with a 471cc twin-cylinder making 47bhp @ 8,600rpm and 43Nm @ 6,500rpm. It has a higher ground clearance and seat height designed at 165mm and 830mm.
