The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong’s trade. With over 50 offices globally, including 13 in the Chinese Mainland, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub. The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly SMEs, in the mainland and international markets.   The #HKTDC returned to London Fashion Week this year with its Fashion Hong Kong runway show, presenting the Autumn/Winter 2026 collections of some of Hong Kong’s most innovative #fashion labels. The event spotlighted the originality and creative excellence of #HongKong fashion for the UK and global fashion communities, reinforcing the city’s standing as a key fashion #design hub in Asia. The Fashion Hong Kong runway show drew more than 300 international buyers, media representatives and fashion professionals. Through a wide spectrum of design expressions, from avant‑garde futurism and cultural fusion to zero‑waste tailoring and sporty aesthetics, four Hong Kong designers, Angus Tsui, Bettie Jiang, Harrison Wong and Menu Tsai, highlighted the innovation, sustainability and global outlook of Hong Kong’s fashion industry. The show also strengthened exchange and collaboration between fashion industry players from Hong Kong and the UK and helped to elevate international awareness of Hong Kong fashion brands.   The #HKTDC named Digitoe as one of the winners of the 2025 Start-up Express programme. The #healthtech start-up is developing smart insoles that gather data on posture and walking styles. A web app compares this data with medically validated information from hospitals and researchers to recommend exercise plans and lifestyle changes for better foot health. Digitoe’s team is currently setting up a pilot project targeting major Asian markets. With support from the HKTDC, the start-up is enhancing its technology, refining its go-to-market strategy and establishing valuable connections with investors and stakeholders across Asia. #HongKong has played a pivotal role in its journey, providing a unique platform that brings together academic excellence, manufacturing access and a tech-savvy, health-conscious population, making it an ideal environment for building innovative solutions such as Digitoe.   The 22nd Hong Kong Entertainment Expo (#EE) will run from 15 March to 19 April. As one of the major events in the entertainment industry, #EE showcases the many facets of #Film, #TV, #Music and #DigitalEntertainment, bringing together productions from Hong Kong, Asia and around the world.
