HYDERABAD, INDIA (October 8, 2012)–  Today, WEDO hosted the first daily CBD women’s caucus of COP11. This year, the caucus is being organized in honor of the life and passion of Marie Khan, a friend to many at WEDO and across the women’s and environmental movements. Marie was the gender focal point at the Secretariat of the UN’s Convention on Biological Diversity and a dedicated partner of WEDO’s for many years, working alongside us in countless initiatives at both the international and national levels.
