VW 2 How do you wrap text around a table? Veronica Williams posted 2017-07-20 19:13:20

Hey Everyone!

When working with text wrapping, I can wrap text around an image with the best of them! However, I need to wrap text around an image with a caption below it and I feel like the only way to do this is to put the image and caption into a table. But, I don't know how to wrap text around a table.

Do you?

Hi Veronica. This should be pretty similar using float positioning in CSS. This can be achieved in emails by using the align attribute with a value of left or right on a <table>. For example :

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" role="presentation" align="left"> <tr> <td><img src="foo.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="100" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Description</td> </tr> </table> <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit. Nesciunt blanditiis consequuntur, quo totam, placeat id quibusdam assumenda vero deserunt aperiam voluptatibus fuga voluptatem, libero dignissimos esse, itaque reiciendis mollitia similique.</p> Reply to Rémi Parmentier VW 0

Nice example by Rémi with accessibility reference. Can I just add a small fix to that since on the Win 10 Mail (Win 10), Outlook 2016 (Win 7), Outlook 2013 (Win 7) the copy is getting cut on the left side - https://litmus.com/pub/264ad4d/screenshots

You just need style="mso-table-rspace: 8pt;" added to the left-aligned table.
