How To Get Xiao In Genshin Impact - Alphr
Có thể bạn quan tâm
Are you ready to get up close and personal with Liyue’s sworn protector in Genshin? Xiao took the Genshin Impact community by storm when he was introduced as a playable character with the 1.3 update, but not much is known about him.
This aloof character may prefer to be alone, but he’ll accompany the Traveler if the conditions are right. Sadly, as of update 1.6, he is not available as a playable character. However, that may change in the future if MiHoYo feels the demand for his return is high enough.
Just because Xiao isn’t available now doesn’t mean you can’t prepare for his eventual return. Keep reading to find out who he is, how to add him to your party, and what he has to offer on the battlefield.
Genshin Impact How to Get Xiao?
Xiao is a new five-star playable character introduced in the February 2021 update 1.3 with the “Invitation to Mundane Life” event.
How to Unlock?
Technically, you don’t have to “unlock” Xiao to use him as a playable character in the game. He’s not a free playable character like Amber, Kaeya, or Lisa. You don’t have to advance to a certain part of the main story to obtain Xiao for your party.
However, he is a special five-star character who’s only available via special event banner.
The most recent event wherein Xiao was featured was his playable debut in February 2021’s “Invitation to Mundane Life” event. The event ended on February 17, 2021, though, so if you didn’t obtain him then, you’ll have to wait for the developers to re-release his character banner.
Steps
During the “Invitation to Mundane Life” Wish event, you could obtain Xiao via Genshin Impact’s gacha-style Wish system. Check out the steps below if you’re unfamiliar with it:
- Launch the game.
- Go to the main menu.
- Select the Wish icon (it’s the first icon in the fourth row).
- Go to the Character Event banner tab.|
- Select “Wish x 1” or “Wish x 10,” located in the lower right corner of the screen.
- Confirm your selection and cross your fingers.
You need Wishes to pull from Genshin Impact’s gacha system. There are two types of Wishes available in the game: Acquaint Fate and Intertwined Fate. You may receive Fates as a reward for advancing your Adventure Rank, completing quests, or trading them with Primogems.
Fates are available for purchase in Paimon’s Bargains, the in-game store located on your main menu. If you do decide to go this route, you’ll need Intertwined Fates to pull from the Character Wish banner.
Character Wish banners may change with each update, so if you have your heart set on obtaining Xiao, keep checking the updates for your chance to “win” him.
Keep in mind that using the Wish system doesn’t guarantee that you’d receive the character or weapon you want with each “pull.” The developers for Genshin Impact use an algorithm that imitates gacha vending machines popular in Japan.
You never know which prizes you’ll receive for your hard-earned Wishes or Fates, but you have a 50% chance of winning five-star characters featured on a banner during an event. When you consider the less than 1% chance you have for winning five-star characters using the Standard Character banner, your odds look good. Multiple Wish pulls like the “10 Wish” option can also increase your chances of winning the character that you want.
Before you get disheartened about using the Wish system, you should know that the game has a “mercy system.” You may not get your character or weapon of choice on your first pull or your 55th pull. However, if you try for the five-star banner item 89 times, you’re guaranteed the item on your next or 90th pull. Remember, though, that featured five-star characters have a 50% chance of appearing in your Wish pull.
Also, if you tried for a previous five-star character event and didn’t get the character, your progress from that event carries over to the next five-star event banner.
For further details about banner prizes and your chances of winning them, check out the “Details” button on the banner Wish page. It’s located near the bottom of your screen.
Overview
Xiao is a five-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact. He’s a demon hunter based out of the Wangshu Inn in Lieu. As the last member of the Five Yakshas or “illuminated beasts” called upon by Morax to vanquish evil, his martial prowess with a polearm can turn the tables on any battlefield.
His attacks include:
- Whirlwind Thrust (normal attack) – up to six spear strikes consecutively
- Lemniscatic Wind Cycling (Elemental Skill) – lunges forward dealing Anemo damage
- Bane of All Evil (Elemental Burst) – puts on the Yaksha Mask to buff skills like jumping, attack AOE and damage, convert all regular attack damage into Anemo damage
Ascending this character yields passive perks such as:
- Increases all damage dealt by 5% with a maximum bonus of 25%
- Buff damage of Lemniscatic Wind Cycling by 15%
- Decreases climbing stamina cost for all party members
Before Ascension, Xiao’s base stats are relatively strong. He starts with 991 HP and 27 ATK with a 62 DEF. By the time you level him up to 20, his stats jump to 2,572 HP with 71 ATK and 161 DEF.
Additional FAQs
Who Is Xiao?
Xiao is a Yaksha Adeptus Anemo introduced in update 1.3 for the event wish, “Invitation to Mundane Life.” This polearm-wielding playable character is the last surviving member of an elite band of Yakshas or “illuminated beasts” tasked with fighting demonic spirits in Liyue. Although Morax himself dispatched his group of Yakshas with protecting Liyue, Xiao doesn’t seem very interested in interacting with the human inhabitants of the town.
You can find Xiao in the Wangshu Inn in Liyue, but he won’t join your party unless you win him via the Character Wish banner.
Recruit the Yaksha Adeptus
Xiao’s character event may be finished, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s gone forever. Genshin Impact’s developers have re-run popular banners in the past, so cross your fingers. You may get your chance with Xiao again.
