How To Watch The Heineken Champions Cup Final On TV For FREE In ...
The Heineken Champions Cup final between Leinster and Ronan O’Gara’s La Rochelle will be available to watch for free on Irish TV this weekend.
The majority of the tournament has been broadcasted behind a paywall all season in a blow to rugby fans across Ireland.
However, rugby supporters will be glad to know that they will be able to watch Leinster’s bid for a fifth star on free-to-air TV.
Virgin Media Two will show the match live as it happens on Saturday May 28, as well as pre-match build-up and post-match analysis.
Their coverage of the final begins at 4pm, 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled 4.45pm kick off.
The match — which takes place at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille — will also be shown by Channel 4 from 4.15pm.
If you prefer the coverage on subscription-based BT Sport 2, their broadcast commences at 4pm.
The occasion marks La Rochelle’s second Champions Cup final under O’Gara — who won the tournament twice as a player.
French side Toulouse won the 2021 edition of the event — beating La Rochelle 22-17.
