   HP USB-C Universal Hub Display ports don't work after update to Windows 11

   Hi I hope someone can help,Ever since I updated my Windows10 to Windows11 my USB-C universal hubs no longer work. I have two, one set up in a home office with dual monitors and the other in the spare room with a single monitor both my wife and I are now working from home. They worked absolutely fine with the same brand new laptop prior to the update but no more. They also still work absolutely fine with my wifes work laptop and my work laptop both running Windows 10 still.I have been through Windows support and reinstalled windows as well as trying to update the driver but nothing works. :)

   USB-C to Display port Do all USB-C ports support display port? I am thinking of picking up a cheap laptop but want to be able to connect two additional displays if needed. The laptop has an HDMI and a USB-C Gen 1. Ace Aspire R R5. thanks

   Toshiba Satellite c850 usb ports not working Hi, I suggest you to try updating the Universal Serial Bus Controller associated with the USB port and check if it helps. To update the drivers from device manager follow the steps below:

   • Press Windows key + X and click on Device Manager.
   • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
   • Right click on the driver and select Update.

   USB port dead Hello Adam, We appreciate the details that you've provided about your USB port issue. This may have occurred due to software conflict or a hardware issue. For us to help you with this, kindly answer the following questions for further research:

   • What is the current build and version number of your Windows 10? To check, press the Windows key, type winver, and press the Enter key.
   • We'd like to clarify the uninstalling and installing usb hub part. Have you tried updating your USB port driver? Have you tried uninstalling the driver and let Windows install the compatible driver?
   • Have you tried rolling back the USB port driver to its previous version?

   Meanwhile, in order to save power, Windows switches your USB controllers off when they’re not in use. We suggest that you check your Power management settings:

   • Type Device Manager in the Windows search field and open it.
   • Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers branch.
   • Double-click the first USB Root Hub device in the list.
   • Click the Power Management tab.
   • Un-check the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power checkbox, and click OK.
   • Repeat steps 3-5 for each USB Root Hub device in your list of Universal Serial Bus controllers.
