How to make local and international FX payments via HSBC Malaysia Online and Mobile Banking

HSBC Mobile Banking App

Step 1

Select Move money > Pay and Transfer

Step 2

Select the account you wish to make a transfer from

Step 3

Select your foreign currency account or My payees.

For new beneficiary, select My payees > Pay someone new > Payee account type > HSBC account / Non- HSBC > fill in account details

Step 4

Fill in your fund transfer details then verify your fund transfers details before you click confirm

Step 5

Now you are all done!

Global Money Transfers via the HSBC Malaysia Mobile Banking App

Step 1. Log on to the HSBC Malaysia app.

Select 'Move Money', then 'Send money internationally'.

Step 2. Select the country or territory and payee for the payment, and the account to send it from.

Find the country or region you want to send money to. Select a payee or add a new payee. Next, select the account you want to send from. Then, enter the amount you want to send.

Step 3. Enter the payment details.

Enter your payment information and select your declaration from the 'Foreign exchange policy declaration' dropdown.

Step 4. Review your transfer details.

Check that all your payment details are correct, then select "Continue" to complete the transfer.

Step 5. Check the confirmation page.

Your transfer details will be shown on the confirmation screen.

HSBC Malaysia Online Banking (own account)

Step 1

Once you've successfully logged on > select Pay and Transfer

Step 2

Select the account you wish to make a transfer from > Select Your Account or someone you’ve paid before

Step 3

Select the foreign currency account you wish to convert to

Step 4

Fill in your fund transfer details and click on continue

Step 5

Verify your fund transfers details before you click confirm. Then, click confirm and you are all done

HSBC Malaysia Online Banking (other HSBC account)

Step 1

Once you've successfully logged on > select Pay and Transfer

Step 2

Select the account you wish to make a transfer from > Select New Payment to a person

Step 3

Select payee type "HSBC Account"

Step 4

Fill in your fund transfer details and click on continue

Step 5

Verify your fund transfers details before you click confirm. Then, click confirm and you are all done

Telegraphic Transfer via HSBC Malaysia Online Banking

Step 1

Once you've successfully logged on > select Pay and Transfer

Step 2

Select the account you wish to make a transfer from > Select New Payment to a person

Step 3

Select payee type "Telegraphic Transfer"

Step 4

Fill in your fund transfer details and click on continue

Step 5

Verify your fund transfers details before you click confirm. Then, click confirm and you are all done
