Updates and Versions
The programming world updates at a break neck pace. As a result, there are times that certain tools, editors, libraries have changed. While syntax or names may change, the foundations remain the same. Though we hope to keep things updated, there may be time before that can occur. I recommend seeing if you can translate between changes and if all fails, ask questions!

- Web developers with an interest in drawing and coloring HTML elements.
- Artists looking to access the web browser as a medium.

Justin's Philosphy
"I love my own personal 'ah ha' moments and want to help anyone and everyone have those as well. I find it very rewarding to help people build a mental model for a topic as well as expand individual's learning toolbox." Personally, I love to learn. Knowledge is one of the things that someone else can't take from you. As a result, I am a voracious consumer of information. In doing so, I try my best to find alternative thought processes that can help me and my students understand difficult topics. I find that people that have a concrete model to reason about a topic are able to move forward instead of getting frustrated. Moreover, I try to provide a level of detail, where appropriate, that removes the "magic" that frustrates people. In doing so, I preempt the hangups and "gotcha's" that can hinder learning so that my students do not have to wrestle with those issues.
Outside the Studio
Justin was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. However, graduate school brought him to sunny Florida. When he did not have to endure snow, he was hooked and decided to settle down. When he is not teaching others how to program or use technology, he likes to read fantasy novels, program (just for fun!), and create things out of wood and metal. If you hear a little bit of a southern drawl when watching, remember that brings a little charm to the experience.
