Humboldt's HM-5750 and HM-5750M direct/residual shear machines are a simple, economical choice for performing direct/residual shear tests utilizing the dead weight method and load rings and dial gauges. The microprocessor-based system features a stepper-motor drive system and a 7" touch-screen display that allows the operator to easily control the testing operation. The HM-2750 and HM-2750M feature the same heavy-duty frame, shear boxes and weight sets as our Elite Series Direct Shear Machines.

Both models allow for rapid and easy manual adjustment of shearing force speed rates. The maximum shear force is 2000 lbf (10kN), and, the maximum consolidation force is 2000 lbf (10kN). The carriage accepts shear box squares up to 4.0" (100mm) internal dimension. Forward and reverse measurements permit residual shear testing as standard. A built-in safety feature prevents the overloading of the load measuring system.

The HM-5750 is supplied complete with a 2,200 lbf (10kN) capacity load ring; 1.000 x 0.001" dial gauge, and a 0.5" x 0.0001" dial gauge. While, the HM-5750M is supplied complete with a 2,200 lbf (10kN) capacity load ring; 12mm x 0.002mm dial gauge, and a 25mm x 0.01mm dial gauge. Both include Humboldt's exclusive Counter-balance device for ASTM D3080 compliance.Shear box assemblies and related accessories are not included and should be ordered separately.
