DESCRIPTIONIEEE C63.5-1998This standard provides methods for determining antenna factors of antennas used for radiated emission measurements of electromagnetic interference (EMI) from 9 kHz to 40 GHz. Antennas included are linearly polarized antennas, such as loops, rods (monopoles), tuned dipoles, biconical dipoles, log-periodic dipole arrays, hybrid linearly polarized arrays, broadband horns, etc., that are used in measurements governed by ANSI C63.4-2003. 1 The methods include standard site, reference antenna, equivalent capacitance substitution, standard transmitting loop, standard antenna, and standard field methods. The latter three methods are incorporated by reference in 4.5. Harmonization of this standard with international standards is achieved by providing one-measurement geometry in the 30 MHz to 1000 MHz frequency range. The word “shall” is used in this document to indicate mandatory requirements. The words “should” or “may” are used to indicate that among several possibilities one is strongly recommended but not mandatory.Revision Standard - Superseded. Methods for determining antenna factors of antennas used for radiated emission measurements of electromagnetic interference (EMI) from 9 kHz to 40 GHz are provided. Antennas included are linearly polarized antennas such as loops, rods (monopoles), tuned dipoles, biconical dipoles, log-periodic dipole arrays, hybrid linearly polarized arrays, broadband horns, etc., which are used in measurements governed by ANSI C63.4-2001. The methods include standard site (i.e., 3-antenna), reference antenna, equivalent capacitance substitution, standard transmitting loop, standard antenna, and standard field methods.PrintRECOMMENDTweetICS codesAIAG StandardsASTM StandardsAnnual Book of ASTM StandardsBSI Standards CSN StandardsCQI StandardsDIN StandardsIEC StandardsIEEE StandardsISO StandardsUNE standardsVDA Automotive Standards EurocodesSets of EN StandardsQuality management standards ISO 9001Environmental management systems ISO 14001Asset management ISO 55000Energy management systems ISO 50001Facility Management EN 15221 and ISO 41000ISO 5817-WeldingInformation technology ISO/IEC 27000Cookies + GDPREuropean Standards and partners need your consent to the use of individual data so that they can, among other things, show you information about your interests.
