Ielts writing Task 1 thường yêu cầu chúng ta miêu tả và so sánh dữ liệu giữa các biểu đồ. Muốn đạt điểm cao, chúng ta cũng cần phải có nền tảng ngữ pháp tốt. Các bạn tham khảo một số cấu trúc điển hình hay được sử dụng trong các bài viết task 1 nhé.

Mẫu câu mở bài:

E.g. – The provided diagram shows data on employment categories in energy producing sectors in Europe starting from 1925 to 1985. – The given pie charts represent the proportion of male and female employee in 6 broad categories, divided into manual and non-manual occupations. – The chart gives information on expenditures of 4 European countries on six consumer products namely Germany, Italy, Britain and France.

Mẫu câu viết:

Miêu tả xu hướng, thay đổi tăng giảm:

E.g. – In general the employment opportunity has increased till 1970 and has dropped down afterward. – As is observed, the figures for imprisonment in the five mentioned countries show no overall pattern of increase or decrease rather shows the considerable fluctuation from country to country. – Generally speaking, USA had far more standard life than all the other 4 mentioned countries.

There + be + adj. + noun + in + noun phrase E.g. – There was a gradual rise in the price of oil. – There has been a sharp drop in the price of oil.

Noun phrase + verb + adverb E.g. – The price of oil rose gradually. – The percentage of homes dropped dramatically.

There + be + noun + in + noun phrase E.g. – There was a fall in literacy levels. – There has been an increase in the cost of coffee.

Mẫu câu so sánh:

More/few/less + noun + than E.g. Overall, more people preferred public transport than taxis.

of one syllable -er + than E.g. A higher number for people preferred public transport than taxis.

of one syllable -est. E.g. The highest % of commuters preferred taxis.

The most/least + adj. of more than one syllable. E.g. The least popular mode of transport was buses.
