Here’s a small article that show how to install a package (sudo …) on HP-UX, i had to do it because there’s no HP-UX admin on the client site.  So i wrote this blog entry to keep it in case i had to do it again  – who knows 🙂 – somewhere else

First i had to search and download the package at the following address

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/

Once the package is downloaded and transferred to the server

as root user :

swinstall -s /tmp/sudo/sudo-1.8.13-ia64-11.31.depot \* swinstall -s /tmp/sudo/libiconv-1.14-ia64-11.31.depot \* swinstall -s /tmp/sudo/gettext-0.19.5-ia64-11.31.depot \* swinstall -s /tmp/sudo/zlib-1.2.8-ia64-11.31.depot \* Voilà  ….  hope it will help 🙂
