Somehow I have a feeling this is a quick yes or no question. However I looked all over and I cannot find any info saying it absolutely needs a dedicated gpu or not. Just stuff like Nvidia and AMD, nothing otherwise. Gonna be completely honest with you guys and you should know I have no experience with Vulkan or any other API at all besides using it unconsciously.

The reason I'm asking is cause I was inspired by Anthony's LTT video on installing Pop_OS instead of using Windows 11. I wanted to try Linux for a while and that video made me take the leap. So I bought a used Thinkpad L380 Yoga to install Pop_OS full time. If you guys are curious of the specs, it's the black i5 model with a 2tb Sabrent ssd and 16GB 3200 sodimm upgrade. Might upgrade to 32GB if needed for VirtualBox projects.

The reason I want to install Vulkan if possible is I want to see what my little laptop can do with only 8 threads and integrated gpu. Since it's running Linux, the only option my games are showing(Portal 2 and Dolphin emulator), is OpenGL.

I know I know, this is not a gaming computer at all and I know that. I have a tower Windows 10 pc for my games and projects. But I wanted to give Linux a try, and I wanted it portable and like a tablet for convenience to help force me to use it cause it's easy to pick up and lay on the couch with. Plus it has a pen which I love using for my artwork. I just want to see what this little thing can do and if I could make it better. I thought the Vulkan API was a option, so here I am.

Vulkan API is supported in Gen7 (Ivy Bridge/Bay Trial and up) for Linux, or Gen9 (Skylake/Apollo Lake and up) for Windows.

    Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

Ok, that's good since my i5 is a 8th gen. Where should I go or what's a good tutorial to use to install it?

You don't need to install anything. It's an API included in the kernel driver/Mesa, depending on how POP OS! is set up.
