ISL LIVE Score Kerala Blasters FC vs FC Goa: An extra time goal lead Kerala to victory

Hello and welcome to India.com’s coverage of Indian Super League (ISL) 2016. Kerala Blasters FC will take on FC Goa at their home ground. This is match no 33 of ISL Season3. Stay tuned as we bring to you the live updates of Kerala Blasters FC vs FC Goa.

This is a game that neither team – making up the bottom of the table – can afford to lose, or even draw as a win for either of the teams can keep their dreams of mathematically qualifying for the next stages of the tournament alive, while a loss would completely crush all hopes of top 4 whatsoever.

The Blasters are back on home soil after almost 3 weeks. They last played a home game on 14th of October in a win against Mumbai City FC. Ever since then, things have looked awful for Kerala who found it extremely difficult to score goals and can only manage draws at best. Kerala Blasters coach felt they could have definitely done without so many away games on the trot.“Having been away for 21 days, we are the only team in the ISL to have had four away games on the bounce. Again, I don’t think that is right because we travelled so much, and the training facilities in a lot of the places were so poor I think it was a disadvantage to us to have four games away from home. We’ve come through those games and we have only lost once,” the Blasters’ coach said.

On the other hand, FC Goa are in a lamenting situation as well, as they are at the bottom of the pit in the Indian Super League and will want to grab a win to get out of the bottom. Goa is struggling to find their rhythm in the third edition of the ISL having made it to the playoffs in the first two seasons. Zico has kept his faith in Brazilian Rafael Coelho to lead the line in most games, but more recently, Julio Cesar and Robin Singh have also stepped up in attack. Robin has played five games out of which Goa have won two and drawn one,  Goa lost the two games in which he came on as a substitute. FC Goa will be without Lucio, Reinaldo, Julio Cesar and Pratesh Shirodkar who have not travelled for the game while Denzil Franco is not yet fit and has still not recovered from an injury suffered earlier in the season.
