Description[]
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is a "supercharged supersport" class motorcycle in the Ninja sportbike series, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, featuring a variable-speed centrifugal-type supercharger. The track-only variant is called Ninja H2R and produces maximum of 310 horsepower (230 kW) and 326 horsepower (243 kW) with ram air, is the most powerful and fastest production motorcycle on the market. The H2R has 50% more power than the fastest street-legal motorcycles, while the street-legal Ninja H2 has a lower power output of 200 hp (150 kW) 210 hp (160 kW) with ram air.
In June 2015, TT race competitor James Hillier rode a Kawasaki H2R as an inter-race demonstration lap at on regular Superbike slick race tires around the 37-mile road course, leading to a roads TT record of the highest top speed attained in the Isle of Man by a motorcycle. The top speed of "over 206 mph" (332 km/h) on the Sulby Straight was recorded on Hillier's personal StravaGPS smartphone app for cyclists.
On June 30, 2016, Kenan Sofuoglu, the most successful five-time world champion Supersport circuit-racer, made a top speed attempt. Sofuoglu, sponsored by Kawasaki, was supplied with a stock H2R, other than special-formula rubber tires developed by Pirelli for the top speed attempt to withstand extreme high speeds, and the bike was supplied with race-grade fuel. Sofuoglu was supplied with a special one-piece leather suit by Rev'It! to enhance aerodynamics for his record attempt.
This attempt endorsed by the Turkish president, was made across the newly completed Osman Gazi Bridge, the fourth longest in the world at just over a mile and a half. Kawasaki quoted that the H2R maximum speed to be 380 kilometres per hour (240 mph). After training and preparing for four months, Sofuoglu went 400 kilometres per hour (250 mph) in just 26 seconds with a video recording the bike's dashboard display.
The attempt was not confirmed with any chronometers or GPS or radar, just recorded by the bike's on-board computer, and later with a theoretical calculation, of the distance he traveled in 26 seconds on the 8,799-foot-long (2,682 m) bridge. Cycle World 's Kevin Cameron had calculated two years earlier that with the right gearing, the H2R's engine power could theoretically overcome aerodynamic drag up to 250–260 miles per hour (400–420 km/h).
Asphalt 8: Airborne[]
Summary[]
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R was added in the 2018 Spring Update as a high-end Class S motorcycle with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1424
- MAX rank: 1659
- MAX+PRO rank: 1788
- Tuning Kit bonus: +24
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 364
- Upgrade rank percentages: 25/25/25/25
- Nitro Efficiency: 10/15/20/Supercharged 20
The Kawasaki Ninja mainly rivals the Apollo Intensa Emozione, Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition, Aston Martin Vulcan, Arrinera Hussarya GT, McLaren MP4-31, and TRION NEMESIS.
Performance[]
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R is the second best-performing bike to date, beating the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR, which was postponed until the Fifth Anniversary Update.
Just like the other bikes in the game, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R accelerates very quickly. It has the highest top speed of all bikes in the game, made even better with its supercharged nitro. With supercharged nitro, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R can reach 327.3 mph/527.1 km/h, effectively making it the third-fastest vehicle in the entire game, even faster than the Devel Sixteen Prototype but still slower than the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition and Lightning LS-218.
Still, all bikes have very short supercharged nitro duration, and the Ninja H2R is no exception. Despite this shortcoming, with its phenomenal supercharged speed, it performs extremely well on maps with many ramps, such as San Diego Harbor, making it capable of competing with the AM Vulcan and Apollo IE on said maps.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R's main shortcomings are its subpar stock handling and drifting, abysmal nitro efficiency (10/15/20), and unpredictable physics. As of the Holiday Update, the Ninja H2R's handling has been improved.
Official review[]
This is the official review of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R on the Asphalt YouTube channel, made by NEKON and published on May 21, 2018:
Time to reach end of Tokyo straight: 6.930s
Perfect nitro duration: 6.468s
Triple nitro duration: 5.181s
Supercharged nitro duration: 5.082s
San Diego Harbor lap time: 46:299
Final verdict: "The Ninja H2R is 0.5 seconds slower than the AM Vulcan. When supercharged, the bike is the 2nd fastest vehicle in the game. Unfortunately due to its difficult handling it is a challenging vehicle to master."
Usage (Multiplayer)[]
Events[]
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R can perform well on short and twisty tracks which allow it to utilize its supercharged nitro, including but not limited to Dubai, San Diego Harbor and Nevada. However, on longer and simpler tracks, the Apollo Intensa Emozione and Aston Martin Vulcan would be better choices.
Multiplayer[]
Given its more or less all-rounded performance, coupled with its outstanding acceleration and supercharged nitro speed, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R performs well at MAX+PRO, which pitches it against the likes of the AM Vulcan, McLaren MP4-31, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, and Apollo IE.
One disadvantage of the Ninja H2R is its slightly lower usual top speed when compared to these cars, however, this can be remedied with efficient use of ramps to maintain supercharged nitro as often as possible, and is also alleviated with its quick acceleration allowing it to gain an edge over its competition at the start.
The Ninja H2R, being a bike, will also be easily knocked down should a car bump into it (save when in the air). While its acceleration once again alleviates this problem, players are still recommended to use Nitro Starter, and Extra Tank should he have any to spare given the Ninja H2R's ponderous nitro duration.
Players are also recommended to choose short, semi-twisty (due to its below average handling and drifting), maps (e.g. Dubai) or maps with an abundance of ramps as well as 1 lap to make full use of the Ninja's exceptional acceleration.
Due to the erratic bike physics of the game, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R isn't recommended for Multiplayer use.
Price[]
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R was originally only obtainable from its Championship event but was made available during the following dates:
- December 21 - 27, 2018: 9,500
- March 20 - 30, 2020: 9,500
- April 22 - 26, 2020: 9,500
As of the 2021 Spring Update, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R can be purchased for 3,500,000.
As of the Gangstar Season Update, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R has no upgrades but 5 upgrades each and require 4,500,000.
Previously in the 2019 Spring Update, upgrades costed 3,591,000 while Pro Kits required 1,196,800, 32 of each Class S Bike Part, 64 Forced Four Stroke Engines, 60 Rare Techs and 40 Pro Techs.
