Steve Forrester Is there a way to sit in the car and have the radio on without the engine being started? If I turn off the engine but stay in the car then the radio plays for several minutes and then turns off. In previous cars I just used to turn the ignition on the key star, but the Volvo V40 only has a start engine button. I seem to only be able to listen to the radio with the engine on. #1 · Sep 24, 2020 Is there a way to sit in the car and have the radio on without the engine being started? I think after maybe 15-20 mins it would shut off, or when battery is low, it will tell you battery is low, and it would shut off within 2 mins. That's right, once you park up, turn off ignition, only when driver's door is open, the stereo would go off. Else you could also short press the start button (no need to press any pedals). If like me, put it in park, engine goes off due to Start stop, and i open the door, it will ping ping ping that ignition is still on. Insert Quotes Post Reply
