KHAT was co-founded in October 2018 by Mr. Guo Konghui, one of the first academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the first in the automotive industry, along with Guo Chuan and the core team. It is China's first enterprise to achieve mass production of passenger car air suspension systems (first launched in 2021) and a National-Level Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative (SRDI) "Key Little Giant" enterprise.

The company currently employs approximately 1,300 people and has established a provincial-level R&D center in Zhejiang. In 2025, KHAT was awarded the "Innovation Team Award (Components)" by the China Society of Automotive Engineers. Building on 127 core technology patents (covering inventions, utility models, etc.) and an academician-level R&D system, KHAT has developed a full-stack technology solution encompassing "air springs + active anti-roll bars + dual-valve electronically controlled dampers + closed-valve pumps".

KHAT has built a production capacity network covering the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Chengdu-Chongqing regions. It has established its R&D and administrative headquarters in Suzhou, along with five smart manufacturing bases in Huzhou, Suzhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou, and Wuhan, and has set up a subsidiary in Munich, Germany. As of September 2025, its products are featured in over 27 vehicle models from brands including Voyah, Li Auto, and Zeekr. KHAT has cumulatively delivered over 1 million air suspension systems and has held the leading domestic market share for air springs for two consecutive years since 2023 (data sourced from Gasgoo).

The company's new product—China's first active anti-roll bar—significantly enhances vehicle handling responsiveness and adaptive scenario dynamic performance by adjusting suspension roll stiffness through transient steering control, addressing a domestic technology gap. This technology was selected as an "Intelligent Chassis Innovation Achievement" at the Automotive Technology and Equipment Development Forum in November 2025, laying the technical foundation for tapping into a multi-billion-yuan blue ocean market.
