I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia, and associate member of the Department of Computer Science.

My research group combines mathematical, computational and statistical tools to study fundamental biological processes and analyze complex datasets (for more details, see my publications).

We are currently mostly  focusing on studying the properties of the ribosome across scales and system (NSERC Discovery grant RGPIN-2020-05348), and developing new algorithms for  Cryo-EM data and shape analysis (New Frontiers of Research NFRFE-2019-00486).

We are also involved in larger group initiatives for developing ready-to-deploy antibody treatments with Canada’s Immuno-Engineering and Biomanufacturing Hub (CIEBH) ( https://progeniter.ca ) and methods for climate change mitigation with the Climate Solutions Research Collective (Solution scholars program)
