After a career built in Sydney at Cirrus Dining, Mr Wong, Bentley, Becasse, Red Lantern and noma (Sydney), Khanh was lured to Melbourne in 2018 to open the Sunda Group’s namesake restaurant.

Since then, he has dabbled with a playful Southeast Asian x Italian menu at Summer EXP, and pursued perfection in the form of en croute.

The arrival of Aru will see Khanh dividing his time between the two restaurants - the highly technical native Australian x Southeast Asian tasting menu that has come to define flagship, Sunda, and the fire-driven, everyday-dining ease of Aru.
