Investigation of ladybug species composition on dragon fruit orchads

Nghiên cứu được thực hiện nhằm làm cơ sở cho việc sử dụng, bảo tồn, duy trì nguồn giống các loài bọ rùa thiên địch, làm tiền đề cho việc xây dựng quy trình IPM, ứng dụng trong công tác phòng trừ sinh học để quản lý nhóm côn trùng gây hại trên cây thanh long. Kết quả ghi nhận 10 loài bọ rùa thiên địch hiện diện trên cây thanh long: Micraspis discolor, Menochilus sexmaculatus, Coccinella transversalis, Scymnus bipunctatus, Cryptolaemus sp. 1, Cryptolaemus sp. 2, Pseudaspidimerus sp., Scymnus sp. 1, Stethorus sp. và Scymnus sp. 2. thuộc 2 phân họ Coccinellinae và Scymninae, trong đó loài bọ rùa M. sexmaculatus xuất hiện thường xuyên và hiện diện trên trái, cành và nụ hoa với tỉ lệ khá cao vào các tháng 5, 6, 7, 8 và 9 dl; các loài còn lại xuất hiện ít. Nhóm bọ rùa ăn rầy mềm bao gồm 3 loài: M. discolor, M. sexmaculatus, C. transversalis thuộc phân họ Coccinellinae và 3 loài Pseudaspidimerus sp., Scymnus sp. 1 và Scymnus sp. 2 thuộc phân họ Scymninae. Nhóm ăn rệp sáp thuộc phân họ Scymninae như là Cryptolaemus sp. 1, Cryptolaemus sp. 2 và Scymnus bipunctatus.  

Abstract

The study aimed to establish data for use, conservation and maintenance of ladybug species, providing scientific basis for building IPM procedures in biological prevention and control of pests in dragon fruit orchards. The results showed that 10 species of ladybug presented in dragon fruit orchards such as Micraspis discolor, Menochilus sexmaculatus, Coccinella transversalis, Scymnus bipunctatus, Cryptolaemus sp. 1, Cryptolaemus sp. 2, Pseudaspidimerus sp., Scymnus sp. 1, Stethorus sp. and Scymnus sp. 2. Among them, Menochilus sexmaculatus of Coccinellinae subfamily was common and present in fruits, cladoes and buds with high rate from May to September. Six species, including Micraspis discolor, Menochilus sexmaculatus, Coccinella transversalis belong to Coccinellinae and Pseudaspidimerus sp., Scymnus sp. 1 and Scymnus sp. 2 belong to Scymninae fed on aphids. ree species Cryptolaemus sp. 1, Cryptolaemus sp. 2 and Scymnus bipunctatus belong to the Scymninae fed on mealybugs on dragon fruit orchards.
