A 20-year-old Killeen man remains jailed after he was charged in connection with an attack on another man whom he arranged to meet through the Grindr app.

Grindr is a networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people.

Larry Bernard Harris is held in lieu of $100,000 bond charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the attack, which occurred on Aug. 24 in the 2800 block of Hemlock Drive after the victim arrived.

He was booked into the Bell County Jail on Tuesday, according to online records.

The victim said he was struck twice in the head with what appeared to be a wooden rod.

He fled and went to a hospital where two staples were used to close the laceration he suffered.

Harris later told an officer he struck the victim two to three times with a piece of pipe, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
