2. IM Điện Thoại và 3G

Phi có 2 hãng lớn là Globe và Smart. Sóng phủ vùng thì ngang ngang nhau trong các thành phố và thị trấn, trên đường thì Globe có vẻ tốt hơn tí (một tí thôi). SIM của globe và smart có thể mua ở bất cứ tiệm tiện ích 7/11 cho nó an toàn. Giá SIM thì giống nhau 40 PHP cho SIM và bạn có thể kích hoạt theo chỉ dẫn kèm theo SIM. Mình sử dụng Smart vì smart có nhiều gói 3G hơn

Tagalog is the official language in the Philippines.

• Please don’t eat with your left hand out in the open (even if you’re left-handed)

I’ve been to the Philippines three times and I haven’t seen one Filipino who ate with their left hand. When I’m eating dinner with my parents here in Oslo, I sometimes forget to use my right hand.

They’re like: “Aaah, don’t use that hand! It’s considered dirty!!!”

• If you’re visiting a Filipino’s home, don’t eat before you get there

The first question you’ll likely get the second you get to the threshold is:

“Do you want some food?”

Food is important in the culture of Philippines and is considered as a social event.

It’s a way of showing their great hospitality.

Don’t be shocked or start wondering why they want to offer you free food. That’s just how Filipinos are. It’s part of the “we-share-everything” attitude.

So if you’re offered food, don’t say no. It’s an insult to reject this kind of offer.

How to dress & behave

There’s a social rule in the culture of Philippines is that you should not wear clothing that reveals your stomach or your breasts.

When I visited the Philippines, I didn’t see any girls or women wear very tight clothing, whether I was in the big cities like Manila or in Pampanga.

The “social dress code” is slightly different at the beach destinations. Here it’s more accepted to wear less clothes.

• When it comes to backpacker couples: I’ve never seen local couples holding hands, and kissing in public, especially outside the big cities. So that should apply for travelers as well.

Since the Filipinos are mainly Roman Catholics, their view on sex and relationships can be more conservative. The majority of Filipinos believe that you shouldn’t have sex before marriage, condoms shouldn’t be used during sexual intercourse and that kissing is an intimitate act – it shouldn’t be shared with the rest of the world.

1. MANILA:

Taxi ở Manila: Đáng tin nhất tại Manila là 2 hãng taxi: R&E và Avis. Lên tầng 2, 3 xếp hàng đi taxi (Vàng, Trắng) đi theo meter. Meter Please. Đi Tricple: 8P/lần

Khi ra sân bay cũng phải đóng thêm 550peso (*500VND). Do đó bạn nhớ đừng tiêu hết tiền mà hãy chừa lại 550peso đóng thuế để được lên máy bay.

Từ sân bay: Taxi ở Manila khá rẻ nếu so với các nước khác trong khu vực như Sing, Malaysia hay thậm chí là Việt Nam. Nhưng khá buồn cười là giá taxi từ sân bay về thành phố thì lại đắt hơn nhiều so với bình thường. Bình thường nếu bắt taxi từ thành phố đi sân bay, bạn sẽ phải trả khoảng 150-200 Peso, nhưng đi từ sân bay về thành phố thì mất khoảng 500-600 Peso, rất may là bạn có thể mặc cả. Ở ngay cửa sân bay có khá nhiều bàn taxi, họ có treo biển giá taxi đến từng khu vực, xem giá xong, bạn cứ mạnh dạn mặc cả còn khoảng 2/3 cho đến khi… họ đồng ý thì đi.Ngoài ra, ở sân bay cũng có shuttle bus (xe 12 chỗ), nhưng chỉ đưa đến các điểm gần sân bay hoặc di chuyển giữa các nhà ga của sân bay thôi.

– Xin map ở quầy tourist information thì có 2 maps: 1 map dành cho khách du lịch và 1 map là bản đồ đường xá Philippines luôn. Bạn đừng nói là đi du lịch vì họ chỉ đưa 1 map du lịch cho bạn. Map đó rất vắn tắt, chỉ tập trung ở khu Malate và Makati. Ngoài ra, nếu bạn muốn đi đến những nơi khác thì ko có chỉ dẫn để đi. Tốt nhất, bạn nên xin cả 2 maps với lý do là đi làm việc ở Manila nên cần bản đồ đường xá của Philippines.

– Giá taxi ở Phil là siêu rẻ,các bạn tuyệt đối ko nên thỏa thuận giá vì tất cả lái xe taxi đều rất “cà chớn”.

Theo metter thì: Giá 500m đầu là 40peso=20.000VND. Giá mỗi 300met tiếp theo là 3,5peso.Tương đương 11,6peso/km. Vậy tính theo tiền Việt Nam là 5.800VND/km.

Vậy nếu bạn đi 20km giá theo tiền Việt là 116.000+20.000(500met đầu) là 136.000(270peso).Trừ khi kẹt xe khủng khiếp mới bị tính thêm phí. Đi vô tới Mall of Asia thì khoảng 120 peso,tới khu Malate thì 150 peso,vô Intra thì tầm 180 peso.

1. SIGHT-SEEING:

– Manila Bay

– Paranaque area: Another popular area in Manila is Paranaque City (south of Manila), located right by Manila Bay.

– Rizal Park is one of Manila’s landmarks, and also an important place for Filipino families to do their picnics because it gives them a breathing space from the rest of the city.

Another favorite among some travelers is the American Cemetery and Memorial. It contains a total of 17,202 lives, most of whom lost their lives in operations in New Guinea and the Philippines. The cemetery is open daily to the public from 9 am to 5 pm.

Stop by Chinatown as well, and get lost in the narrow streets, shop cheap and visit Chinese temples.

– Manila Ocean Park is divided into several sections: You can choose between Oceanarium, Fish Spa, Marine Life Show, Musical Fountain show, Jellies, Aquanut Voyage, Class Bottom Boat Ride and Swimming and Fun.

– Manila Nightlife: Manila has a booming nightlife with night clubs, pubs, karaoke bars, transvestites and hot girls. Ermita and Malate is where it happens for backpackers, and it can get very loud and crowded. It’s party-action

1. Từ Manila (bến xe Pasay) bắt xe búyt đến Tagaytay
2. Từ Tagaytay bắt jeepney hoặc motor-tricycle tới Talisay
3. Tại Talisay thuê thuyền Bangka đi qua hồ Taal mới đến được núi lửa Taal: xuất phát lúc 8g sáng đi taxi ra bến xe Pasay .Tại đây mua vé xe búyt đến Tagaytay – một tp hơi hơi cao nguyên có khí hậu mát mát hơi hơi giống Đà Lạt , hàng xe buýt xịn , có máy lạnh là : Erjohn & Almark hoặc Kirby Buslines (85 peso). Sau hơn 2 tiếng đồng hồ, đến được Tagaytay (nhớ inform cho bác tài dừng lại tại Olivarez Plaza nhé) . Đến lúc này thì chúng tôi gặp chuyện chút xíu . Theo LP , nếu đi đến Talisay bằng jeepney chỉ có 35 peso , còn đi bằng Tricycle thì tới 200 pesos, jeepney phải đổi xe 2 lần : từ Olivarez đến People’s Park (8 peso) rồi từ People’s Park mới đón một cái jeepney khác đến Talisay (80 peso. tricycle bét lắm là 300 peso, hok có xe nào chịu chở với cái giá 200 peso nữa . Đường đi Talisay giống như bạn đang đi từ cao nguyên xuống một cái lòng chảo lại có nhiều cua quẹo gắt nên ngồi jeepney phải gồng mình lắm mới không bị tuột . Tới Talisay thì thuê thuyền banka . giá 1500 peso ( theo LP thì tiền thuê 1 thuyền đi khứ hồi ra đảo là 1500-1800 peso chưa kể tiền mướn thêm áo phao là 30 peso/người). hạ giá xuống có 1200 peso thôi (bao gồm tiền mướn áo phao)

Thuyền Bangka có hình dáng rất độc đáo , 2 bên có 2 cái “càng” giúp thuyền giữ được thăng bằng , dù sóng có lớn cỡ nào cũng đập càng bên này, đập càng bên kia mà lướt tới . Sau gần 30 phút chúng tôi đã đến được chân núi lửa . Vé tham quan là 50 peso . leo bộ lên núi mà không thuê ngựa (500 peso/ng). 5 cây số – cũng là một chặng đường đáng nể ..

Càng leo lên núi thì lại càng lạnh. Trên đỉnh núi Taal có một cái hồ , nước hồ xanh màu đặc trưng vì có lưu huỳnh , nhìn xuống dưới thấy nước hồ vẫn sôi sùng sục , trong khi gió và không khí trên này lại lạnh … thật là sự đối lập kì lạ …Lúc trở về , thuê 1 cái motor-tricycle đi từ Talisay về thẳng đến Olivarez Plaza luôn với giá 250 peso . Rồi từ Olivarez bắt 1 cái bus về lại bến xe Pasay.

III. BORACAY

Từ sân bay Caticlan ra bến Phà với giá 50php / xe / 3 người, lưu ý là bạn tự ra khỏi sân bay rồi bắt Tricycle nhé, lưu ý đừng mua trọn gói dịch vụ đưa ra đảo vì họ hay nói thách gấp đôi.

Giá vé từ sân bay Kalibo – Boracay – Kalibo (round trip) la 400 peso/ khách. Ngoài ra có thể phải đóng các phí khác khi tới Boracay như Phí Môi Trường, Terminal fee. Đặt vé tại địa chỉ website http://www.southwesttoursboracay.com/boracay-transportation/kalibo-airport/round-trip (book vé sớm, văn phòng gần D Mall) các bạn chú là có nhiều lựa chọn book như: xe khách đơn thuần, xe + tàu phà, v.v.v.

Nếu không dùng dịch vụ của Southwest thì bạn có thể tự đi Kalibo bằng cách bắt Tricycle ra bến phà (50Php/ 2khách), ở bến phà bạn dễ dàng mua vé bus đi Kalibo giá 200Peso / khách (bao gồm vé phà). Để tới thẳng sân bay bạn trả thêm 100peso phí Terminal Fee.

– Puka Beach, Bãi biển Diniwid, Bãi biển Baling, Đá Willy là một trong những điểm du lịch thích hợp cho khách du lịch.

– đảo Crystal Cove island: Đây là một đảo nhỏ nằm ngoài khơi xa của Boracay. Trước đây là đảo Tiguatian, một hòn đảo nhỏ rộng 2 hecta, ở gần giữa Boracay và Caticlan. Để đến đảo bạn có thể thuê thuyền tại White Beach hoặc Caticlan Jetty Port. Đảo Crystal Cove là nơi lý tưởng để đi bộ, thư giãn và dã ngoại. Ngắm hoàng hôn và bình minh từ đảo Crystal cũng là một lựa chọn. Bên cạnh đó sự hấp dẫn chính của Crystal Cove là hai hang động trên đảo, bạn có thể nhìn thấy những con sóng đánh vào tận trong của hang. Ở phía nam của Crystal Cove bạn sẽ tìm thấy một bãi biển cát trắng đẹp, một nơi lý tưởng để tắm nắng và bơi. Lệ phí thăm đảo là 200 peso / khách

– Hoping Island Tour: một tour giá trị đáng tham gia khi tới Boracay. Bạn có thể dễ dàng mua tour ở các đại lý tour trên đảo, hoặc tại ngay khách sạn bạn ở. Mọi thứ đều dễ dàng. Giá tour có thể rẻ hơn nếu bạn đi nhóm đông, cụ thể khoảng: 2800 PHP cho 1 đến 6 người, hoặc 3300 PHP cho 7 đến 10 người. Nếu đi 2 người thì khoảng 2200 PHP/ 2 khách, thời gian thực hiện tour trong khoảng 3 – 4 tiếng (không bao gồm ăn trưa, bắt đầu từ 9 sáng). Các hoạt động trong chương trình tour : thăm đảo Crocodile, bãi tắm Puka, lặn ngắm san hô, bơi, bạn có thể đặt ăn trưa trọn gói cùng tour với giá khoảng 1600 php / khách, nhưng nhớ mặc cả discount nhé, có thể sẽ rẻ hơn nếu đi đông.

– Helmet diving: một trò thú vị khi tới Boracay, bạn sẽ được tự mình đi dạo dưới đáy biển với sự trợ giúp của 1 chiếc mũ lặn với đường dẫn khí qua 1 đường ống. Khi chụp chiếc mũ này vào bạn có thể tự do đi lại, ngắm nhìn những đàn cá đang bơi xung quanh. Tour có giá khoảng 1500peso, có tặng ảnh kỷ niệm đi kèm.

– Bulabog Beach: Bãi biển Bulabog nằm tại khu vực phía đông của hòn đảo. Nếu so sánh thì nó chỉ đứng sau white beach về vẻ đẹp. Bãi biển Bulabog được coi là nơi tốt nhất cho lướt sóng và thả diều. Ngoài ra bạn cũng có thể ngắm bình mình từ đây, bởi Bulabog nằm ở phía đông của hòn đảo.

– Bãi White beach có hướng quay mặt về phía Tây nên ngày nào bạn cũng có thể ngắm cảnh hoàng hôn từ đây. White beach chia thành 3 khu:

• Station 1 là khu VIP với nhiều resort đắt tiền, giá cả cũng đắt gấp đôi hai khu còn lại, nhưng vắng và yên ả hơn.
• Station 2 là khu trung tâm, sầm uất nhộn nhịp nhất, đa phần du khách ở đây.
• Station 3 là khu tập trung nhiều tàu bè phục vụ các hoạt động giải trí.

– Ở Boracay nhất là khu D’mall bạn phải thưởng thức những món sau: Mango Shake (60PHP/pax), ăn bánh crepe ở Crazy Crepe (tầm 110 PHP~/pax). Ở boracay trái cây ngon và phổ biến bao gồm xoài, chuối, thơm, và dừa, nên dù bạn ko thích những loại trái cây kể trên cũng nhớ thưởng thức qua nhé, vì nó là đặc sản, nên pha chế khá ngon đó.

– Ăn hải sản: Tôm hùm ở Boracay khá ngon và chắc thịt. Quầy hải sản tươi sống mà mình ăn qua là quán Club Manila East. Mình đã trả giá được 150PHP/gram tôm hùm. Bữa đó mình mua 1kg tôm hùm, 1kg~ tôm tích, được chủ quán tặng thêm 1 con mực và một dĩa cơm trắng, mình cảm ơn họ rất nhiều vì tính thân thiện và nghĩ thầm trong bụng, chắc do mình một lần nữa…đẹp gái (hahaha). Tổng thiệt hại cho một bữa no nê là 2,200PHP/2 người (bao gồm 1kg tôm hùm, 1kg~ tôm tích và thuế VAT)

1. CEBU

– Ở Cebu thì mình chọn Olango thay vì Bohol hòn đảo này bị ngập 1 nửa vào buổi sáng nhưng vào buổi chiều nước rút hết.

– Colon Street: Philippines’ Oldest Calle in Cebu: Downtown Area, Cebu City

The Colon Street is considered as the oldest street in the Philippines. It was built by the Spaniards during the time of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. Named after Christopher Columbus, it is the heart of downtown Cebu, throbs with people from all walks of life and despite being highly-urbanized; there are still remnants of its beauty from the olden times. At present, it is lined up with shopping malls, restaurants and other business establishments. An obelisk detailing its historical significance was constructed on its Northern end along with the various markers placed in areas pinpointing sites of historical and cultural significance on Colon Street.

– Lapu Lapu Moment: Mactan Shrine, Lapu-Lapu City

The monument was dedicated to Lapu-Lapu, the first Filipino hero which stands inside the Mactan Shrine facing Magellan Bay. Lapu-Lapu is considered one of the greatest figures in Philippine history because he was among those who rejected foreign power. Lapu-Lapu, who was the chieftain of the area, defeated Ferdinand Magellan, the leader of the Spanish fleet, in the famous Battle of Mactan.

– Chocolate Hill

– Basilica Del Santo Nino: Osmena Boulevard, Downtown Area, Cebu City. The Basilica del Santo Nino, which was built in 1565 by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Father Andres de Urdaneta, houses the oldest and most celebrated Christian relic in the country –the image of Senor Santo Nino de Cebu (Infant Jesus). The image was given by Ferdinand Magellan as a gift to Queen Juana during her baptism in April 21, 1521. After being destroyed by the fire the structure was rebuilt in 1602 and then rehabilitated in 1740. Thousands of devotees gather at the Basilica every Friday for the novena. Devotees, too, flock to the church for the Sinulog celebration every third week of January.

– Fort San Pedro Plaza Independencia, Cebu City: The Fort San Pedro is the smallest and oldest triangular bastion in the country, which was built in 1565 and completed over a century and a half later. This fort was built to primarily protect the Spanish settlers from the attacking pirates in the area. It has also witnessed the different changes in the history of Cebu Island until much of it was destroyed during the Japanese occupation when it served as a prison camp.

– Magallanes Street, Cebu City: The Cross was planted in April 21, 1521 by Ferdinand Magellan. This marks the spot where the first Christian Filipinos, Rajah Humabon and Queen Juana and about 400 followers were baptized by Father Pedro Valderama. In 1525-1740, the Augustinian priests built an open shrine for the cross, but the natives began to take chips from the cross believing it had miraculous power. So a kiosk like structure was built to protect the cross from total destruction. To protect it further, a hollow cross of Tindalo wood was made to incase the original cross which still stands today.

– Heritage of Cebu Monument: Parian District, Cebu City. Located on the original Plaza of Parian, the heritage of Cebu Monument showcases the significant and symbolic events of the history of Cebu from the time of Rajah Humabon to the recent beatification of Cebuano martyr Pedro Calungsod. The monumental sculptural tableau is the work of national artist Eduardo Castrillo. It was constructed in July 1997 and inaugurated in December 8, 2000.

– Taoist Temple: Beverly Hills, Cebu City. Taoist Temple is a concrete reminder of the well-established Chinese Community in Cebu City, who has contributed much to the industrialization of Cebu. The temple w\as built in 1964 and is a classic example of Chinese architecture which houses the teachings of Lao-Tse, the 600 B.C. Chinese philosopher. Everyday people climb its 81 steps (representing the 81 chapters of Taoism scriptures) and light joss sticks and have their fortune read.

– The Cathedral Museum of Cebu: Manalili corner P. Gomez Streets, Cebu City. Houses Liturgical Exhibition of Artifacts found in parishes all over the province of Cebu, it traces the history of the Parishes and at the same time pinpoints the richness of the cultural legacy of Cebu as the seat of Christianity of Cebu. The building which housed the temporary collection was the old rectory of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral. It also showcases old maps of Cebu that show various old buildings built around the 19th century.
