In Loving Memory - Ann St. Martin Stout

The Library Arts Center community is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our artists, staff members, instructors, and former board members, Ann St. Martin Stout.  Ann made tremendous contributions to the Library Arts Center over the years, serving for many years as our board chair, and founding the Library Arts Center’s Letterpress Studio program.  She served most recently as one of our weekend gallery attendants, and participated in countless exhibits over the years with her photography, crafts, and letterpress prints.  We will greatly miss her presence in our arts community.

After School Art

Instructor: Susan FeigeSuggested Age Range 7-12

$40, includes all five sessions and arts materials.  *Scholarships are available.

This afterschool program is designed for kids who love art and want to take their skills to the next level with a bunch of young artists like themselves.  Each class will be based on a different fun art project that will introduce new art skills and techniques followed by plenty of time to dive into the project and create.  A mix of projects, skills, and artist grade materials will be used in each session.  Susan Fiege is an experienced arts educator who is excellent at working with children and art.  Susan is known for creating a warm, fun, and creative learning environment perfect helping young artists flourish.

Music with Friends

Creative Wellness: Sound Bath Series

Basket-Making Workshops with Ray Lagasse

The Library Arts Center is proud to offer these exceptional artisan basket-making workshops with artisan Ray Lagasse.  Students will spend a day in the studio learning this traditional craft and will leave with a fabulous heirloom-quality basket to keep or give as a phenomenal gift.  Workshops are typically offered monthly in the Arts Center studio.

Open Studio Art Group

Wednesday mornings,9:30am-12:30pm$8 for LAC members/$12 non-members.

Bring your own art supplies and paint alongside a delightful and supportive group of artists. Facilitator Heidi Lorenz will paint alongside all, but is available for light guidance and instruction if desired. This welcoming and friendly drop-in style group is available to artists of all styles and abilities!

Yoga Classes with Brianna

Friday Mornings| 8:30am All-Levels + Chair yoga 10:00amRichards Free Library Ballroom

Classes are designed for any student looking to practice yoga. Movement will be linked with breath (as offered by the Hatha and Kripalu traditions of yoga), as well as focus on alignment, and attention paid to honoring your own organic movement. Students can expect to practice both seated and standing poses as well as focus on balance and breath.  Please bring your own mat and any props you would like.
