In addition to dropping the old G303’s tether, the new mouse also appears to be longer than the original and negligibly narrower. Best Buy doesn’t provide a height measurement, but we can also see that the new mouse is 35 percent lighter in weight than the original. With gaming mice turning to blatant holes in order to reduce weight, it’s not surprising that Logitech made the G303 Shroud Edition trimmer for flinging about.

Notably, the G303 Daedalus Apex had three onboard memory profiles. Best Buy doesn’t specific whether or not the new G303 has onboard memory.

Logitech also ditched the RGB for this version, which should help the mouse’s battery life and appeal to those who are sick of the persistence of RGB in the gaming sphere. The dark aesthetic is also a good fit for a peripheral with the word “shroud” in its name.

Lightly enshrouded in Shroud

Logitech decided to tap pro gamer Shroud for the new G303, stamping the gamer’s name in the mouse’s model name, as well as stealthily under the left-click button. It continues an ongoing partnership between the company and player, which already includes Shroud Editions of Logitech G’s Pro wireless mouse, Pro X wireless gaming headset, Pro X mechanical keyboard, and G840 mousepad. The Shroud-style G303 seems less offensive than the rest by keeping the branding to a minimum and skipping the gamer’s bright blue logo.

We’ve reached out to Logitech for more information on the G303 Shroud Edition but didn’t hear back in time for publishing. However, Logitech may make an official announcement about the mouse today, as it hinted via Twitter yesterday:
