Logitech G403 Vs Logitech G703 Review - What Is The Difference?

G403 vs G703 Specifications Overview

Let’s get down to the specifications as that is where the first few differences lie. It is important to note that the G703 is strictly a wireless mouse and only comes in the wireless format.  Battery life lasts up to 24 hours with RGB or 32 without. The G403, comes in two versions, wired or wireless.

There is one important difference.  The G403 wireless version uses the older PMW3366 sensor.  The wired G403 & G703 (wireless) use the newer HERO sensor.

For the remainder of the comparison, I will be referring to the wired G403 as it is newer and provides a better sensor.

As you can see from the table above both mice share the same sensor, the new HERO. It is arguably the very best sensor you can get right now that provides pixel by pixel precision tracking.

It also solves the problem of tilt-slamming that the earlier 3310 struggled with.

Since both mice share the same sensor the DPI increments are the same ranging from 100 -16,000 and a report rate of 1000Hz.

Both the G403 and G703 have 6 buttons a piece with a mouse 1, mouse 2, scroll wheel, DPI, and two side buttons. The mouse 1 and mouse 2 buttons on the G703 have a higher durability rating than those on the G403 (50 million clicks vs 20 million clicks).

This is surprising as both mice feel the same when tested. Both mice have the option of adding a 10g weight to the bottom of the mouse. A nice addition for those of you that prefer a heavier mouse. The dimensions of the mice are both the same:

Dimensions:

Height: 124mmWidth: 68mmDepth: 43mm

However, the weightings are different which is important. The G403 wired comes in at 90g or around 100g with the optional weight attached. The G403 wireless comes in at around 96g or 106g with the optional weight. The G703 comes in around the same as the wireless G403.

Each mouse provides full RGB colouring which can be adjusted through Logitech’s easy to use software.

The main difference the G703 has over the G403 is that it supports the new PowerPlay wireless charging mat. So you can charge your G703 wirelessly on the PowerPlay mat without having to plug in the USB charger. A really nice feature if you don’t want any cable clutter.

The PowerPlay mat can be switched between cloth or hard mat interchangeably too so you can get the texture that you prefer to play on.
