Design and Comfort

Both headsets are comfortable enough that you can wear them during long gaming sessions without getting fatigued.

The Logitech G733 and G935 both have removable mics.

The Logitech G733 features a plastic headband with an elastic band that auto-adjusts to your head, but you can also manually adjust it to get the perfect fit. As for the earcups, it can be moved up and down to further improve comfort. However, it’s rigid and it doesn’t swivel or fold, so you need extra care when packing or storing the headset. The pads on the earcups are soft and comfortable.

As for the overall design of the Logitech G733, it has a “gamer” vibe to it. It has an RGB strip in the front, which can be distracting if you’re playing a game with dark scenes, since the LED will reflect on the monitor (more on that later). Situated on the right earcup are the volume control, mute and power buttons while on the left, you’ll find the removable mic. The Logitech G733 comes in four colors: black, blue, white and lilac. It weighs 278g, so it’s reasonably light and comfortable to wear for long periods.

Just like the Logitech G733, the G935 has a plastic exterior but instead of an elastic band, you can adjust the padded headband via notches. The earcups are a different shape as well, they are square shaped and they come with soft and breathable leatherette covered foam pads. Unlike the G733 earcups, the earcups on the G935 can swivel and can be folded, so storing is easier.

The Logitech G935 is larger and heavier than the Logitech G733, weighing at 380g. Despite the disparity in weight, we still found the Logitech G935 light enough to be comfortably worn for long periods. As for the look of the headset, it also comes with an LED strip, but this time, it’s at the back of the headset. All of the control buttons, as well as the removable mic, are found in the left earcup.

Gaming Features

You need to install the Logitech G Hub if you want to take full advantage of these headsets.

If you like RGB, you’ll love both the G733 (left) and G935 (right).

Both headsets require the Logitech G Hub software if you want to take full advantage of their features. You can do a lot of customizations in this software, such as setting up EQ profiles, tweaking lighting patterns, syncing all your Logitech gaming peripherals and more.

If you have other Logitech hardware that come with RGB, such as a gaming mouse and keyboard, you can easily sync the lighting using the Logitech G Hub software. While this doesn’t really improve performance, it’s a nice aesthetic feature for people that love RGB lighting with their gaming PCs.

On that note, one issue with the Logitech G733 is the fact that the LED strip is located at the front. If you are playing a game with dark scenes, the RGB lighting will reflect on your monitor and this can be distracting. Also, if you are wearing glasses, the lights can draw your eyes away from your monitor. Of course, you can just turn off the lights, but then, you might as well just buy another gaming headset.

Both headsets are compatible with gaming consoles as well, however, features are limited since you can’t use the Logitech G Hub software on those.

Sound Quality

The sound quality on both headsets are surprisingly good.

You’ll get DTS:X 2.0 with both headsets.

Both headsets perform very well when gaming. They both feature DTS:X 2.0 using the Logitech G Hub software, and directional sound is accurate. Also, you can further adjust the volume for different directions using the same software, allowing you to hear incoming sound better. The highs and mids are clear, while the low end is satisfying, especially if you are playing action games with explosions.

The sound quality when playing on consoles is the same, however, you can’t take advantage of its surround sound feature, stereo only. That said, games still sound good, and you’ll still be able to hear directional audio.

As for the mics on both headsets, they are pretty standard, which is not a bad thing. Your voice will be heard clearly, and background noise is minimal.

If you are going to use these headsets for music and movies, then you should lower your expectations. The bass on both headsets are over emphasized, so if you want accurate sound, you’ll be disappointed. However, they don’t sound that bad, they just won’t be your go-to if you want to listen to music or watch movies. For gaming though, they are excellent.

Connectivity and Battery Life

Both headsets are compatible with PCs and consoles.

The Logitech G733 (left) has better battery life than the G935 (right).

The Logitech G733 and G935 both require the use of a USB dongle to achieve wireless connection. They can both connect wirelessly to a PC, Mac, PS4, PS5 and the Switch (docked). For Xbox consoles, as well as the Switch in handheld mode, only the G935 will worked and it will require a wired 3.5mm connection.

As for their wireless range, both headsets are able to maintain a steady connection within a 15 meter radius. The connection is strong for both, with the Logitech G733 having a bit of an advantage. You won’t experience any drops or intermittent connections as long as you are within the 15 meter range.

When it comes to battery life, the Logitech G733 trumps the Logitech G935. The battery on the Logitech G733 can last up to 29 hours, with the lights turned off, while the G935’s battery can only hold a charge for a maximum of 12 hours, also with the lights off.

Verdict

Keep your G935 if you already own it, no need to upgrade. But if you’re buying new, then go with the G733.

Amazon product

If you already own the Logitech G935, then upgrading to the Logitech G733 is not ideal. Sound quality is not that different even though they have different drivers. Also, they have very identical features, save for the location of their RGB strips. Furthermore, the G935 works on the Xbox and the Switch in handheld mode, while the G733 will not. The only reason for you to upgrade is if you find the 12-hour battery of the G935 to be lacking.

It’s a different story if you are buying a new headset and you are looking at these two specific models. In this case, you should go for the Logitech G733 as it is cheaper and as stated above, it has better battery life.
