Fonzi Does anyone here care for Lorinser LOs? I am assuming not and I am about to split up a set of four 8x16 et35 with plans on lower offset cars using them with spacers. They should bring me and easy $250 per wheel that way while I figure you all w124 owners would not come close to considering paying $1000 for a set of wheels that looks so similar to the common 8x16 et34 Evo1 wheel. They do have tires, but they are old and bald. To top it off, they all need a refurb. Or is there someone here that can stop me? :) I expect to get a few comments back saying, "split them up" Sent from AutoGuide.com App #1 · May 8, 2013 Does anyone here care for Lorinser LOs? I paid 400 Euro for a set of Zender Star 16x8 wheels shipped to Australia from Germany ! Image Sorry Fonzi, don't think Lorisner 16x8's going to release too many wallet moths ! #3 · May 8, 2013 while they look like nice wheels (and would be lovely on my Lorinser 300CE!) I have a feeling nobody's gonna go near em at that price. #6 · May 9, 2013 They are different from stock but not nearly enough to pay that much and I agree they need a lot of work. That would be a great price if they were in usable condition with no repair. 0 Reply #4 · May 8, 2013 Eeek. I'll give you $250 for the set, shipped #5 · May 8, 2013 Those are fairly hard to come by wheels. The last thing I'd do is split the set up. I do feel your asking price is a tad high, especially do to approx $125 per needing to be spent for refurbishing. Good luck with the sale Sent from AutoGuide.com Free App #7 · May 9, 2013 Do the arrows point to bent areas in the rim? #8 · May 9, 2013 Yes sir, they do. I put those marks there myself before snapping the pictures. Thank you all for confirming my suspicions, even earlier confirmed by my friend Ccorlean. The thing is that I have three et22, which are insanely rare and the only Lorinser LO that will fit on the front of 560sl, and the 560sl folks love these things. So I've just in the last few minutes taken a deposit for two 8" et22 and two 8" et35. If I don't find any of the following before the buyer wants to pick up the wheels, he will be taking two 8" et35. - one 8" et22 (since I have three, two already being purchase in the set) - one 8" et11 (since I have one on the way. - two 9" et10 (rare enough that I don't expect to find quickly). So they will be split up, for now leaving me with the following pile of Lorinser LO: 2x 8" et35 1x 8" et22 2x 7" et23 1x 8" et11 ^^^ nothing there exactly makes a great set. 7" fronts with 8" rears with spacers I guess. (Of course the first buyer will get his pick of the best two et35 and best two et22. ) I have found that to get a set of Lorinser LO for a 560sl, you are going to have to spend at least $1600. So the $250/wheel leaves $600 for straightening and refurb. Tires also are included, and the tires on the et22 have barely been used at all. So that's the story. As I suspected, y'all 124'ers ain't go no interest in these early 80's wheels. :) I can proceed with confidence. Sent from AutoGuide.com App 0 Reply Insert Quotes Post Reply
