This bill aims to update mental health parity laws in Massachusetts. It requires health insurance plans to provide mental health benefits, including for autism spectrum disorder, on a nondiscriminatory basis to all residents of the Commonwealth and to all policyholders or members with a principal place of employment in the Commonwealth. The bill also strikes certain existing provisions related to the scope and limits of required mental health coverage.
