Maal Wines Paciencia Malbec Limited Edition from Mendoza, Argentina. Hand-picked over three vintages, from which we selected the best barrel of the year. By mixing these three barrels a “non vintage” blend was obtained. Rested for at least one year in bottle. Only 900 bottles of “Paciencia” are made every three years. Malbec: grown mainly in Bordeaux and southwestern France. The wines from this grape are characterised by intense and earthy fruit on the nose, combined with a soft, also earthy and spicy taste. The malbec shows a strong tendency to coulure, which results in a small harvest. Also called cot. In the wine region of Cahors and Saint Emilion Pressac becomes the grape auxerroisnamed The birthplace of Malbec, like many other grapes, is in France. Here the grape is also called cot. What many people do not know is that the Malbec grape plays a (small) role in the world-famous Bordeaux blend. The Malbec grape variety was popular in the Bordeaux region at the end of the 19th century.
