No matter how impressive a performance car may be when it leaves the factory, the tuning experts over at Manhart will work their magic to increase power and make the bodywork even more aggressive. It has done just that with the BMW X6 Competition and the end result is this: the MHX6 700.

Manhart’s modifications start under the hood where it can either remap the standard ECU or fit a new MHtronik auxiliary control unit to increase grunt to 730 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Additionally, the SUV has been equipped with a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control and four 100 mm tailpipes available in carbon fiber or with a ceramic coating. Customers can also order race downpipes without catalytic converters and have the optional pipes with the petrol particulate filter removed.

To complement the added horsepower and torque, Manhart says it can equip the SUV with an upgraded braking system, although it hasn’t yet released details.

A number of visual changes have also been made to the SUV. For starters, a set of H&R lowering springs have been installed that reduce the ride height by 30 mm. The tuner has also fitted the MHX6 700 with its Classic Line-Y-spoke wheels measuring 22×10.5 inches at all four corners and finished in satin black with gold accents. Wrapped around these wheels are 295/30 tires.

Various forged carbon fiber parts have also been developed for the BMW, including a new front splitter, a distinctive radiator grille, bespoke side skirts, a two-piece rear spoiler, and a diffuser. The mirror caps and side louvers are also finished in carbon fiber.

Finally, a handful of interior alterations have been made, including forged carbon fiber accents across the center console, steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels.
