Commentary

This CD player was developed based on the LHH series of Philips CD player with Marantz's unique technology.The D/A converter is equipped with DAC7, a bit stream type D/A converter that boasts excellent linearity.The 3-stage differential part of the DAC7 completely cancels out the in-phase noise, thereby extracting the afterglow and overtone of the sound.The TDA1547, which is part of the 1-bit converter section, has been remeasured by Marantz in important sound quality items, and only products that meet strict standards have been adopted. The selected TDA1547 has a star mark as proof of "Selected by Marantz".Marantz's original HDAM is used for the analog output circuit to obtain a higher slew rate than the conventional OP amp while maintaining the freedom of discrete design.In addition, excellent S/N has been obtained by thermal stability and high shielding performance.The mechanism part uses Philips' unique 1-beam swing arm mechanical CDM-4MD.In addition, introduced newly developed ICs for servo systems and decoders to improve the ability to recover damaged disks.The power supply section employs a 2-transformer system. The main power supply uses a toroidal transformer with a large capacity and low leakage flux. A dedicated transformer is used for the fluorescent display tube power supply, which is a noise source. This eliminates electrical influence on the music signal.The power supply, display, analog block, and D/A converter are each shielded with copper plated steel plates to eliminate mutual interference between circuits. Moreover, the structure based on copper plated die-cast chassis provides high damping.Equipped with a 2-step display OFF switch.Wireless remote control is included.
