1 old racer I am the proud owner of a 2016 sport and really like the car. the only problem I have with the car is that I cant talk to the person i am calling. I hear them fine but they cant hear me at all. The car didnt come with a owners manual so I dont know if it is in the settings, Software or a mic issue. Any help would be appreciated. #1 · Dec 21, 2021 I am the proud owner of a 2016 sport and really like the car. the only problem I have with the car is that I cant talk to the person i am calling. Radio is on order. #3 · Jan 30, 2022 reset the Bluetooth by pulling out the radio, the microphone will start working #6 · Jul 8, 2022 how to do that? 0 Reply #4 · Feb 23, 2022 According to Volkswagen it was both the radio and bluetooth module. Picking up the car tomorrow all fixed.I am glad I have a bumper to bumper repair contract. #5 · May 20, 2022 Well its fixed. What a ride. This all started as soon as I got the car home from the dealership. I connected my phone and place a call and I could hear them but they could not hear me. I googled it and the info stated it was the mic cable located in the overhead console. I bought the car with a bumper to bumper warranty, so I took it to the dealership and they verified the issue. I told them what I thought the problem and they looked at me like I was a idiot. So the search began. They ordered and replaced the radio, did not fix this issue. Then they figured it must be the GPS module so they order a new one and installed it. Sill nothing. I reminded them about the mic cable but they stated that it was not the problem. So they kept the car for a few weeks to track down the issue and replaced the mic itself. Still not fixed. When I picked up the car they stated that it was indeed the mic cable, however part was on back order. Finally the part cam in and they installed it. Guess what..... it was the mic cable. It only took over 5 months. over 3k in parts and labor. If they would have listened to me the cost would have only been 58 for the part and about 20 mins labor. The car spent over 22 days in the shop out of the 5 months of ownership. What a ride this has been. Insert Quotes Post Reply
