Selection and entry fee

RegistrationPre-registrations can be done only through the web site https://airtribune.com, from 1st of March 2022 to 27th of March 2022. Only pre-registered pilots with a valid FAI licence will be accepted. A valid third-party insurance is mandatory.Participants and selectionThe maximum number of participants admitted to the competition is 120:- 110 places will be assigned to pilots selected according to the FAI WPRS ranking system (reference date February 1st 2022)*;- 7 wild cards, assigned by the organizers;- 3 wild cards, assigned by the Italian Team Leader.In case of equal rankings, priority will be given to the first pilot who made the pre-registration. Registration to the competition becomes effective only after the entry fees payment, which has to be done within 6 days from the confirmation date. Confirmation will be sent to pilots by email and published in the list of confirmed participants. Pilots who won’t pay within the payment deadline, will be moved at the bottom of the selection list. Organizers have the right to not accept the registration of pilots considered not eligible for safety reasons or in case the compliance with legal requirements cannot be verified.Entry fee and paymentThe entry fee is € 200.00, including:- Emergency service, ambulance and doctor each competition day- Live tracking- Packed-lunch each competition day- Gadgets- Flycard with a 14 days validity (08/04/2022 - 24/04/2022)- Awards and prizes for the winnerPaid entry fees will not be returned for any reason or for any claim. The entry fee must be paid within 6 days from the confirmation (received by email), by bank transfer. The payment receipt must be sent to the following email address: delta@trofeomontegrappa.it. An additional fee of €40,00 will be charged in case of late payment.

Documents required at registration

Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)
FAI Sporting Licence
The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.
National Licence
You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.
Signed Waiver/Release form
You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.
Identification documents needed
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your liability (3rd party) insurance documents
Liability Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your medical, rescue and repatriation insurance. You can purchase Global Rescue cover from Airtribune

Cancellation Policy

The Montegrappa Trophy HG will be disputed only if the minimum number of 85 paying subscriptions has been reached by 31st of March. In the event of insufficient adhesions, the Montegrappa Trophy HG will not be disputed and the fees paid will be fully refunded, net of bank charges for the transfer of funds.In case of no valid tasks, the organisation will return part of the entry fee to each confirmed pilot (minimum amount € 50.00 – maximum amount € 150.00, depending on the expenses afforded by the organizers).

Prize fund and scoring categories

The competition will assign the title of “Montegrappa Trophy HG 2022” Champion, with at least 1 (one) valid task.The following categories will be ranked:- Hang gliding CLASS 1 OPEN- Hang gliding CLASS 5 OPEN (with at least 5 participants)- Hang gliding CLASS 1 OPEN WOMEN (with at least 5 participants)For the definition of class, see the FAI Sporting Code, Common section 7, Chapter 1.4.1.Winners must be present at the awards ceremony to collect the prize. Proxies are not accepted. Prizes not claimed will remain at the organization.
