GeneralInformation Immunogen G-361 human melanoma cell line Fusion Species Mouse X Mouse Hybridoma Immunological Donor Mouse spleen Myeloma P3/NS1/1-Ag4-1 Clone XJ-NO-2 Cell Line Description Animals were immunized with the G-361 human melanoma cell line. Spleen cells were fused with P3/NS1/1-Ag4-1 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with antigens associated with human melanoma cells. The antibody precipitates antigens of 108000 and 38000 daltons from G-361 lysates. It reacts with human melanoma cell lines and with WISH (human amnion cell line with HeLa markers) and Rc2a (human acute myelomonocytic leukemia cell line). It did not react with other line tested or with surgical specimens of non-melanoma neoplasms or with normal tissue. Most surgical specimens of melanoma were stained positively with WI-MN-1. Morphology Lymphoblast Growth Properties Suspension CultureMethod Subculturing Incubate cells at 37°C with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere, renew medium every 2-3 days, start cells at 2x10^5 cells/mL and maintain cultures between 1x10^5-1x10^6 cells/ml Storage Liquid nitrogen vapor phase.
