  Part of a total €1.5 billion commitment, France's €500 million JETP funding has helped Vietnam realize key energy infrastructure, such as the Bac Ai pumped-storage hydropower plant ($557 million) and the expansion of the Tri An hydropower plant. This foundation paves the way for Vietnam to mobilize over $10 billion for a portfolio of 44 proposed green projects.   Vietnam’s import and export activities continue to surge, reaching a total trade value of USD 762.44 billion in the first 10 months of 2025 - up 17.4% year-on-year with a record trade surplus of USD 19.56 billion. This robust performance helped Customs revenue exceed 92% of the annual target, totaling over VND 379.8 trillion, reaffirming the sector’s key role in balancing national budget revenues.   The Solomon Islands expressed their wish to import rice and materials from Vietnam and seek support in training and technical expertise in fisheries and agriculture. During the meeting with Minister Peter Shanel Agovaka, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính affirmed Vietnam’s readiness to boost cooperation in trade, investment, renewable energy, and infrastructure, and both sides agreed to facilitate agreements, expand air links, and support business collaboration, aiming for a sustainable partnership.
