? MPOW X3, a well-spec’ed TWS with entry-level price.

The MPOW X3 offer a phenomenal value for money thanks to advanced features such as Active Noise Cancelling, IPX8 waterproof rating and touch controls – including volume control.

The MPOW X3 are rated at 7 hours of music playtime and up to 30 hours of total battery runtime when combined with it’s case – when ANC is turned on the values are 6 hours and 26 hours, respectively.

Besides these features, the X3 are equipped with single dynamic drivers with a diameter of 10mm, 4 noise cancelling mics, USB-C connectors and Bluetooth 5.0.

The MPOW X3 can also be found as MPBH432AB or MPOW 432.

Bass & Sub Bass

MPOW X3 does not have the typical over-boosted bass sound that most commercial earphones provide.

Instead, this TWS offers a type of bass that is usually seen on earphones aimed for more demanding listeners and/or audio enthusiasts.

This means that the MPOW X3 exhibits a tighter bass than many other TWS while still being able to sound full and decently punchy but without turning into a boomy mess.

It is fair to highlight that MPOW fans wanting a bass-intense model should look at other offerings from the brand such as the MDOTS, instead of this X3 model.

Mids & Vocals

The lower midrange and male vocals tend to sound laid back but not necessarily disturbed by mid-bass bleed nor excessive congestion.

On the other hand, the upper end of the midrange offers a very crisp and much more forward sound.

Consequently, female vocals and instrument notes sitting in these ranges will show a way more emphasized sound.

On the other hand, these higher mids empowerment can make them recurrently harsh.

Overall, the MPOW X3 would had been a much better performed if it did not suffer from such a frequent harshness.

Highs & Treble

The same kind of “uneven” tuning is seen on the highs and treble ranges, due to a extending upper mids/lower highs forward sound and a rolled-off upper highs/treble.

This unbalanced distribution is, unfortunately, carrying on many cons such as lack of detail yet hot peaks including some sibilance and piercing highs.

It is a pity seeing the MPOW did not apply the best tuning for the X3 as, despite the issues, this TWS showed some audio ranges with decent initial response.

Sound Isolation

The passive isolation of the MPOW X3 is more or less inline with most average headphones but the X3 is equipped with ANC to further enhance it’s cancelling and isolating potential.

The brand rates this model as earphone capable of reaching -28dB of noise cancellation but our tests showed a few peaks of -20dB at most and an average of -15dB to -12dB.
