Biogeography

Native Distribution Specimens were first introduced into cultivation in 2005 via Thailand ; exact origin of this variety is unknown. 'Siam Ruby' is the current trade name for this Banana.

Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Herb to 3m tall
Foliage Leaves dull to bright reddish brown with irregular lime green blotches scattered along the leaf blade. Leaves may also be marked with white or very pale pink blotches in some specimens.
