Nancy Chu Main content start Nancy Chu Cohort 2018

Nancy holds a BA in Chinese and English literature from Swarthmore College (2010). She received an MDiv in Buddhism from Harvard Divinity School (2015) and an MPhil in social anthropology from the University of Cambridge (2016). Broadly interested in Buddhism and anthropology, her past research was on the Luminary order of Buddhist nuns (bhikṣuṇī) in Taiwan. Nancy's current research explores the relationship between Buddhist practices and pain reduction for Buddhist nuns and chronic and acute pain patients in Taiwan.
