Need Network Controller Driver For HP Pavilion G4 - Windows 7

Hey guys, I tried all 3 wireless drivers listed on the page here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g4-Notebook-PC-series/5046252/model/5093403

and the ID: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C&REV_01

is leading me back to the same Realtek driver on HP's site, help please?

Try the Windows 7 driver here depending on 32bit or 64bit. The driver dated 2015

It installed but there is a red X on the bars in the tray, not recognizing any networks. Could it be the wireless card may be shot? The wired connection is working though.

So there are no yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager? The Wifi card may be shot but you can verify using a live linux disk and see if it picks up the Wifi network.

The PCI device ID you posted is for the LAN Card not for the Wireless LAN Card!

Can you post the ID for the wireless card? probably is the one from Atheros that usually show the red cross on the tray but it will work with an updated driver.

Ok, most likely the OP didn't provide the correct HP model because for the g4-1015dx the Realtek wireless card isn't on the HP list of drivers!
