Nestled within dense jungle on the breathtaking slopes of Tai Mo Shan mountain, lie the Ng Tung Chai Waterfalls. A series of cascades spread over several kilometres, each waterfall is more dramatic than the last. Culminating in the spectacular 'Main Falls', Hong Kong's highest. Climb past rural villages and temples into another world, a steep sided world full of animals and fauna. Hidden within the dense vegetation you can uncover some truly stunning places. The city never felt so far away.Optimal ConditionsThis is an all year round hike and can be enjoyed in almost any weather conditions. Great on a sunny day, but also (unlike many other hikes) is very suitable for a murky or damp day.DifficultyGenerally moderate with the odd strenuous sectionTour Duration 5 Hours in total the 6km trail takes approximately 3 and a half hours to hike Ample time to enjoy the majesty of the waterfalls Cost (Prices per person HKD)​ Adult Group of 1-3 $700Group of 4-7 $500Group of 8+ $400 Meeting / MTR Travel Times 11am unless stated otherwise ~60 minutes from Causeway Bay, ~45 minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui

Meeting PointTai Wo MTR station 'exit A'. The rendezvous location is located beside the northbound concourse (trains to Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau). If running late please call or get in touch as we can make alternate arrangements.

Customisation Options

• For those who really enjoy their hiking, why not continue upwards and scale Tai Mo Shan? At 957 metres, it is Hong Kong's highest peak. On a clear day, one will be rewarded with astounding views that survey almost all of Hong Kong. We can take you on a variety of routes around the mountain.
• The nearby Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden is worth checking out; full of plants and animals native to Hong Kong, you may be surprised at what roams the forests here.
