Special Field: Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang is a certified attorney-at-law and also a patent attorney, handling patent and industrial design prosecution and litigation. Education: Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang has earned degrees in the disparate fields of organic chemistry, law and English. Experience: Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang has accumulated 25 years of experience in handling patent matters. He served as a patent attorney for INVESTIP for eight years before working as a patent executive at the firm Tilleke & Gibbins (Vietnam) for four years. Following that, he managed the patent group at Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam offices for eight years. He has since returned to INVESTIP, where he currently holds the positions of Deputy General Director, Partner, and Director of the patent department. Mr. Thang is proficient in dealing with patent and industrial design matters across various industry sectors, ranging from chemical to electronics. Additionally, he provides clients with valuable advice on patent issues and strategies in Vietnam and manages other proceedings related to patent and industrial design. Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang has been recognized with prestigious awards, including being named THE WORLD’S LEADING PATENT PROFESSIONAL by IAM magazine in 2019-2020 and 2022-2024, a GLOBAL LEADER by IAM Magazine in 2023-2024, an IP STAR by MIP magazine consistently for ten years, from 2014 to 2024, a PATENT LEADER by WIPR magazine consistently for eight years, from 2016 to 2024, and an IP EXPERT by Asia IP magazine in 2022 to 2024.
